So you guys know that Asian stereotype of Chinese people eating dogs? I was figuring out why people thought this, and then I realized...

If you had nothing to eat and were really desperate, what would you eat?

I'm guessing those who are poor would eat their pets. I'm not sure how much of China is poor people, but it could be most of the population if people think that the Chinese in general eat dogs.

For meat, I've only eaten chicken, beef, pork, and turkey... But I have also eaten rabbits. That's the only "not normal" meat I have eaten, and I only ate this when I was with my grandmother in China for vacation.

It makes sense. I mean, I really love my dog, but if I hadn't eaten in over a week, I'd probably go crazy and eat practically anything and everything. It might also just have to do with the fact that Chinese/Japanese/Korean cuisines are strange, having things that practically every other place in the world would find very strange, so people just assumed they ate dogs and cats and things as well.

Yeah, Asian food is strange for Americans. When I was younger, my mom cooked squid tentacles. I was so disgusted, and I repeatedly said "Ew" or "I'm not gonna eat that!" My parents then scolded me and said that there was also other things for me to eat.

Squid is really expensive to buy because it has this unique taste that many love, but I don't know what it tastes like. I might try it, but my mom will have to not put spices in it because I dislike spicy food. It was spicy the last time I attempted to try it.

I once ate a whole baby octopus, it came from a Japanese restaurant that my mom ordered from. Everyone in my family tried it, except for my oldest brother and the youngest of my older brothers since they were both disgusted (even though the latter is practically obsessed with Japanese culture and is very interested in learning more than he already knows, and he knows quite a bit Japanese already.

Not sure how different squid tastes from octopus, but the octopus tasted pretty good. I wanna try squid sometime as well. I like some spicy foods, but not all.
